Building positive long term relationships encourages personal growth, support during tough times, and emphasizes the true meaning of family. Relationships fulfill our need to belong in a community and provide our youth with a stronger sense of self.

EXPOSURE TO PROFESSIONAL RESOURCES AND ORGANIZATIONS

Career planning and development is necessary for the development of our youth. Reality Check Mentoring Inc. plans to utilize professionals within the local DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas to introduce our young males to diverse career opportunities. This exposure will include workshops, guest speakers, and visiting local businesses that will allow them to discover, but not be limited to, opportunities present in their own backyard.

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT, LIFE SKILLS, and Community Engagement 

Reality Check Mentoring Inc. will connect with resources to help our young males that may need additional academic assistance and will offer tutoring. Our males will also be exposed to and educated on life skills covering areas such as cooking, health/wellness, time management, resume writing, public speaking, financial literacy, and much more. They will also learn to be involved in their communities through volunteering and other activities.
